Brett was a free pony given to us at the original All-SIM Stud Book (August 2007) and we welcomed him with open arms, not even close to knowing what we were in for. Brett has a ridiculous amount of energy for a pony and is the bravest we have ever seen. He's a top contender for speed jumpers and eventing, especially against horses. No pony events for this guy! He competes at 3'6-3'9 and usually places in the top ten of his events. He puts his heart and soul into every bit of it and loves the challenge, you can just see it in his eyes. His jump is very correct (wish we could make him a hunter but we would be laughed out of the ring while Brett galloped around like a nutcase!) and he has never refused a fence in his life. He's willing to try just about anything without so much as a complaint, even if it's physically impossible for him (just ask Kayla). He just loves what he does. Brett rarely spooks and when he does, it's never because he's really scared... He's just testing his rider or deciding to act like a spazz. Yeah, he's that kind of pony! He's usually an easy mount to navigate but can be very opinionated when he disagrees or doesn't respect his rider. Only a firm but quiet rider can ride him to the best of his potential. He's a great junior mount and has a blast at Pony Club games or gymkhanas. If he wasn't so hyper, he'd be a great kid's pony. Brett is extremely hardy and is a very easy keeper. He doesn't get much grain at all but still has all the energy in the world. He's really too cute and being a palomino definitely makes him stand out (plus his talent, of course!). He's a proud little stallion and can hold his ground with horses in the field as well as at shows and events. He will fight for mares and is the lead stallion in the little pack of geldings (we figured he needed something to be 'ruler' of!). We love Brett though, even for all his craziness.
