"If you've ever read the THOROUGHBRED series, Studley Dudley could compare to the Triple Crown winner and Dubai World Cup winner Wonder's Champion. Or the grey stallion March To Glory, who won the Breeder's Cup Classic by thirty lengths and set a world record. Studley is strong willed, rambunctious, rebellious, high-strung and affectionate. He bonded with Sarah Star, his owner and jockey, the day they met, and since they have had a happy partnership both on and off the track. Studley is astonishingly fast and he loves to win. He runs for himself, Sarah, and Green Horse Stables. He loves the exhilaration of flying past the other colts and fillies down the stretch, and amazingly, we have never had a problem with him in the gate. In fact, he's even trotted into the gate once or twice. He's not an aggressive colt, but due to his strong willed personality he is certainly not a ride for an inexperienced jockey. Usually only Sarah rides him, so this isn't a problem for Green Horse Stables." Upon arrival at CCI, we were nervous that Studley would not find a comparable jockey to Sarah Star over at GHS. Lucky enough for us, we got the right match on the first try with our show rider, turned racing fanatic, Dylan Miller. Dylan's goofy personality helped Studley ease up and the bay coltine seems more than happy to listen to our favorite idiot. On the track, Studley really just loves to run and in the stable, we are thrilled that he is mostly behaved (although we have run into a couple episodes where he showed us how strong-willed he could be). We are happy to have Studley with us and can't wait to see how he progresses!
