"Because DJ's an absolute gorgeous horse and he knows it, he spends many a lazy day in the pasture, napping and grazing to his heart's desire." Quoted from his original breeder (August 2006), we were drawn in to DJ like a moth to a flame. He's absolutely stunning first of all and we'd never heard of a Russian Warmblood before but loved DJ so we figured that we'd best purchase the rarely bred three year old before someone else did. Upon arrival, Roger decided that DJ would become his project after Connor retired. And now Connor's retired and Dylan's his designated rider, so what happened? Well, Dylan and DJ just click (somehow Dylan conveniently got himself wedged between Roger and his project... Go figure!) and Roger realizes this so he's the head trainer of the pair. DJ and Dylan are now a seasoned dressage and eventing pair and Roger doesn't have the heart to take DJ from Dylan (<3). The 'D's (Dylan's nickname for them) are the very best of friends. Dylan couldn't imagine his life here without the stallion. The two originally started on the eventing path but DJ took a real liking to dressage so the pair progressed at first on Dylan's prior experience and DJ's natural talent. He had a great aptitude for dressage even as a three year old and sucked up every morsel of info, no matter how complicated, like a sponge. The pair has progressed to the very top of the dressage world and now DJ is the more experienced one. He only occasionally overrides Dylan's commands but is usually right when he does. He is very responsive under saddle and doesn't get crazy under pressure (most of the time! Let Dylan tell you about the few times...). Not to say he's not high strung! Especially around mares, DJ can get really strong and hyper but that's to be expected. He's not gelded, the poor guy! DJ and Dylan event as well, much to Roger's delight, because DJ also happens to be a very honest jumper, unphased by anything thrown at him. We are careful to schedule him time to relax between his shows to help keep him clear headed and focused. He's a bit of an attention whore and can be pushy on the ground but overall he's a good guy. He's a proven sire and all of his foals are very high quality, representing their breed tremendously well. Their bloodlines help them stand out in the show ring. DJ is one of the only producing Russian Warmbloods in the area.

Work him in some nice shows, and we may very well have a good foundation sire on our hands to enhance the Russian Warmblood lines! 40/40, 100%, A+++ [given by ottonomical101]
Wow now that was a bio! That was packed with information, it sounded like you were telling a story about him, very nice! Photos back up his bio. I love how you said that he took a liking to dressage. If the horse loves it then most likely they will put their best into it.- [Lana]
Well rounded shape, nice stride. Very good for a young horse.- [Bekki]
This clearly is a wonderful horse. A fantastic name although I don't feel Deja Vu when I see him. No other horse has [had] the capabilitity to make my jaw drop like when I saw his picture. And your commentary on him muy magnifico. Wishing you all the luck in the world with him.- [~*midnightdreams*~]
