Show Name: RHOTY WCh GRCh NCh Mark My Words ICH Barn Name: Marcus Breed: Dutch Warmblood Gender: stallion Age: 11 [2002] Color: standard bay Markings: thinning blaze & one sock Height: 17.2 hh Dam: Marchien Sire: Jasper Breeder: FDI Sporthorses Trainer: Reed Miller Owner/Usual Rider: Cold Creek Inc. / Kayla Miller Disciplines: eventing, hunters/equitation & english pleasure Show Points: 25600 Website Inhabited: Cold Creek Inc.
Marcus was originally bred and given to us New Years 2008 to help build our stock. We were absolutely ecstatic to finally get a green mount for Kayla to work with (those are hard to find, you know! A lot of them are 'hard' greenies). He's a typical push-button hunter mount, perfect for Kayla's equitation medal classes. He will bring home ribbons even with a rider that lacks experience. He jumps up to 4'3 with just about anyone on his back and takes care of them the whole way but go over that and you're on your own. He gets excited at the higher heights and requires a bit more direction. He's not that comfortable jumping higher and it's alright because he jumps 4'3 and under so well! Kayla is completely in charge of his training now that she is older. Marcus responds very well to her sessions and retains the knowledge so you rarely have to repeat anything you've schooled him on. He tackles each and every course with a new zeal and has a lot of power behind his warmblood frame. His looks and behavior are just incredible for a stallion. He's well mannered around the barn and is a genuine pleasure to be around. His sweet and calm personality leads most to believe that he is gelded when he's most certainly not! He'll be siring a few foals soon and we believe he will pass on his excellent traits to his babies. Marcus is a favorite among young riders and is the next big thing! He has the makings to go far in the future and we can't wait to document his rise to the top.
