CCI recieved our pride, Jet Ski, from our friends at Tropicana Dreams Inc in June 2006, unsure of what to do with a racehorse. And look at him now! Jet was by far the lowest key racehorse ever. On the track, he had pure intelligence, waiting for the right moment to advance and then pounce from the middle of the pack, rather than spend all of his energy galloping at high speeds endlessly like some young horses. Without a doubt, Jet loves to stretch out and run, even now in his retirement. Lily takes him for gallops every once in a while since he is still a fairly young horse. Jet won CCI's very first DTC and proved his heart to everyone despite his label as a long shot. We are extremely proud of Jet's accomplishments, especially considering that he's the epitome of 'the underdog'. In 2007, Jet was in the running to be MHS' Best SIM Race Horse of All-Time. Jet also recieved a close second in the Breeders' Cup Turf that year. Now that Jet has retired from the track, we do not plan on retraining him. We feel like he's accomplished enough for a lifetime and we have plenty on our plates anyway. He loves having the time to himself. He spends all day, every day in the pasture that is attached to his stall, grazing and occasionally being ridden by Lily. For the most part, Jet gets to live out his days as a true horse. His offspring are also incredibly well recieved and talented on the track. We're all super excited and we can't wait for more foals to arrive from the resident 'CCI lawn-art'.
