After taking a look at our stock, we realized collectively that we needed a band of breeding mares to keep seperate from the showing ones. So we sent Lily off to get a few and she returned first with this lovely and quiet mare. Marla is a dream come true for a breeding program. She is a rare breed to come by on top of being absolutely gorgeous with a great personality and having flawless conformation to boot. Her delicate bone structure and height make it easy to cross her with just about anything. She's reserved and timid around other horses and is far from being the lead mare of the pack. Marla is very content to hang back and let other mares boss her around. She is very responsive to human commands and is a favorite in halter classes. She is also very good at lower level dressage and usually attends a few shows when she doesn't have a foal at her side. If Marla truly trusts a person, she will rest her muzzle in their fingertips but other than that, she is not very affectionate. We can't wait to see what exotic crosses Marla will help to create!
