Patrick ran in the Juvenile Turf and here is a post parade description of him, the entire race roleplayed by Sunfrost: "Saint Patrick is about to load into gate three. Coming out of Cold Creek Inc., a new addition to the racing stables of Green Horse Fields this year, he could show some inexperience with the track, but being as he's been racing on it all year and loves the turf and this distance we can see what will happen. He's a bit jumpy though, but I've read that this is regular behavior for the bay colt. He shudders uneasily as he loads into the gate. Hopefully the starters will be quick in loading in the next colt. Expect to close from behind in the final furlongs - I've heard that he needs to see everything and get used to it before really turning on the speed." And here is a roleplay of the race itself to which Patrick recieved a third. Thank you Frosty! "They're all loaded into the gate, and after about five seconds of complete silence they're off! They all break perfectly, with Spitfire immediately taking the lead for the first couple of furlongs. His stride is good and steady, and I can tell that he's capable of more, and it would be easy for him too. The chestnut colt Zamiel is running on the outside, tossing his head every now and then and vying for a bit more rein. He seems to be completely concentrated on the race, and there's no mistaking the lust in his eyes for the win. The other chestnut colt Old Spice is two lengths behind them, moving along at a steady pace and not too perturbed at the dirt flying into his face - perhaps because he soon knows they'll have the same feeling. Saint Patrick is three lengths off of him, looking a bit shaky and moving at a hesitant gallop. His rider is vying for his concentration and bravery, and he might just get it if he keeps working at it. With two furlongs down and six furlongs to go they enter the backstretch. Each horse kept the same position through the turn, but now Zamiel is unleashed and he takes the lead easily from Spitfire. Spitfire begins to fight back, but now Zamiel is setting a blazing pace and Spitfire's new jockey holds the disgruntled colt back, not wanting to tire him out. Zamiel's jockey doesn't seem concerned about the problem. Perhaps he was wasting too much energy just by being held back? That doesn't seem to matter now, as he's leading by a solid four lengths and has enough energy left it seems to hold the rest off. He must be sadly inexperienced, though, to think that the field will just let him have it. Spitfire has begun to eat Zamiel's lead away as they pass the halfway point. He's moving steadily now, with Old Spice om his flank and Saint Patrick just behind. Now with three furlongs to go the three colts are working away, until now, right before the turn and with two furlongs left, Zamiel is only a length in front and is now being prodded for speed. Annoyed at losing his lead, Zamiel widens his stride and begins to pour on some more, but he's tiring slightly now, and as they go into the turn the other three colts catch up to him and, with the difficulty that comes from being on the outside, just manage to scrape past in time for the final furlong. And now it's all out war! Saint Patrick has suddenly taken the lead and is pouring it on, but Old Spice is just starting to turn it on! He's sweeping past Saint Patrick now, but the colt fights back. It's those two stride for stride when out of nowhere Spitfire appears! He joins the fight, and as they fight furiously Zamiel, in a psychotic rage, is inching forward as he drives his speed to new heights. Saint Patrick is beginning to drop back, not liking the intensity of the fight one bit. It seems as though his bravery might be fading. Spitfire and Old Spice continue to fight as they go under the wire but it looks to me like....yes!...Saint Patrick's courage was his weak point, and when faced with braver competition he just couldn't do it today."
